What is IFM
Short version
Internet Football Manager (IFM) is a free, multiplayer online football management game played in the browser or as an installable app. Run a club from any country, sign players and compete with other managers in leagues, cups and international tournaments.
Long version
IFM is a persistent, shared football world: you pick a club from 2.064 across 138 leagues in 128 countries, buy and sell players (offers, auctions and loans), set your line-up and tactics, schedule substitutions and run the club's finances. Matches play themselves on a real calendar, with a play-by-play report, player ratings and a 3D viewer. It is available in Spanish, Catalan and English, and national teams and international tournaments crown every season.
History
-
2003
IFM is born
The domain internetfutbolmanager.com was registered in April 2003 and its first archive.org capture dates from June 2003: one of the first online football managers in Spanish.

The original fades out
The latest data kept from that community —managers, teams, titles— dates from 2015.
-
2026
IFM is back
Eleven years later, the game returns with a match engine rebuilt from scratch (from Ruby on Rails to Laravel), with a 3D viewer, payments, three languages and an installable app. It was rebuilt by a single developer with the help of artificial intelligence.

Model
Playing is free. IFM PRO (from 9,99 € per season) and private leagues (from 14,99 €) are optional, one-time purchases with no subscriptions. PRO adds depth and convenience —managing a national team, more substitutions, customisation—, not a disproportionate sporting advantage.
